| | Well, I'm back to studying and it is going so well that I have time to update my Xanga--Blog--Thing. I actually studied a good amount over the break, but now that I am back where I should be studying, I don't want to anymore. You see, over the break I studied simplicial sets the ugly way. I messed with hundreds of indices flapping around... swapping d_i's and s_j's for a few hours at a time. Then, I got this book from my Mom and Dad which has a cleaner, modern approach to it. Many of the indices were cleaned up and some intuition began to sprout. Now I am balancing getting my hands dirty spreading the roots of my understanding or trying to lean toward that ray of sunlight peeking through the slit in the blinds.
